2010- Won Seven Days readers choice for Burlington's Best Jewelry Designer.

2009- Founded Alchemy Jewelry Arts Collective, a group of four independent jewelry designers sharing studio and gallery space, with wife Susan Hurd. Won Seven Days readers choice for Burlington's Best Jewelry Designer.

2002- Wins Saul Bell Design Award in bead category for  his Galaxy Necklace.

1998-2009- Founded and operated award-winning Grannis Gallery with wife Susan Hurd, one of New England’s finest designer jewelry stores. Featured Timothy Grannis designs as well as 50 top artisan designers, garnering 6 out of 10 years people's choice award as Burlington’s best jewelry store as well as one of JCK’s Top 10 Designer Jewelry Stores award.

1980-1998- Produced collection of anticlastic hand forged gold jewelry for 100+ fine jewelry stores and craft galleries.

1996- Innovated foil forming as a jewelry and sculptural metalworking technology.

1995- Invented The Wallet Pen, marketed through mail order catalogs and fine stationary shops. (The pen makes Oprah's “O” list of holiday gifts in 2005!)

1985- Co-founded Prism Design, a company that produced high-end kaleidoscopes 1985-1995. Many innovative concepts and exciting celebrity placements.

1979- Earns National Endowment for the Arts fellowship grant, funding a full year of sculpture works in anticlastic forged metals.

1978- Wins Vermont Council on the Arts grant, Studied with renowned Finnish metal smith Heikki Seppa, beginning a career long involvement with the metalsmithing technique of anticlastic raising and all its sculptural iterations.

1976- Finished undergrad work at UVM in studio arts Cum Laude, opened Timothy Grannnis Studio, producing innovative collection of sterling designs.

1970- The hippie years, dropped out of college, bought a van and bell-bottoms and made (pretty darned good) silver jewelry.

1961- The kid, inspired by dad's metalworking project of transforming a silver coin into a tropical fish pin for mom, checks a jewelry instruction book out of the library, starts teaching himself to make jewelry, and initiates a lifelong devotion to jewelry making.

1949- A banner year, Timothy Grannis is born.
